First: where did you buy it?
| Where you subscribed | Where you cancel |
|---|---|
| On the website (janitorai.com/plus) | In your Janitor account settings, on the same page where the subscription was bought |
| In the iOS app “Janitor: Interactive Stories” | In Apple ID → Subscriptions: an in-app purchase is an Apple subscription, and only Apple can cancel it |
| Through janitor+ Router credits | Credits are a separate balance from the monthly subscription — cancelling the subscription does not refund them not verified |
The $12.99 price and the scope of janitor+ come from the official announcement of 24 June 2026; janitor+ Router with $5 launch credits for subscribers was announced on 30 July 2026.
What you lose and what stays
You lose
5× context for memory during chats, unlimited priority messages, the monthly allowance of swipes on the frontier models and the janitor+ badge.
You keep
The whole free Janitor: the announcement states the version you know “stays exactly the same, and stays completely free”.
You do not get
Voice and image generation — at launch these were named as plans, not features.
If the reason is memory rather than money
The most common complaint after janitor+ launched is that long chats lose the plot on the free model. More context is exactly what the subscription sells — but it is not the only way to get memory.
The case for Janitor AI
Free Janitor remains genuinely free and unfiltered; $12.99 buys context and speed, not new modalities.
The case for HoneyChat
HoneyChat keeps memory facts on every paid plan and adds voice, photos and video that janitor+ does not have yet — from $4.99 a month, with 20 free messages a day.
